Pure Honey (Shehad) Price in Pakistan

Honey, or shehad, has been part of Pakistani homes for generations, from a spoon in warm water in the morning to a drizzle over paratha, a sweetener for chai and a home remedy in winter. Each type of honey tastes different depending on the flowers the bees visit. Dry Fruits Mart offers a wide range of pure honey, including Sidr (beri), small bee, acacia (phulai), robinia, wild, mountain forest, clover, eucalyptus and orange blossom honey, in 250g, 500g and 1kg packs. Every order is packed at our Faisalabad store and delivered across Pakistan in 2–4 working days with cash on delivery.

Types of Honey

Sidr (Beri) and Small Bee Honey

Sidr honey (beri ka shehad) comes from the nectar of beri (Sidr) trees. It is thick, rich and one of the most prized honeys in Pakistan. Small bee honey (choti makhi ka shehad) is collected from the small honey bee and has a distinctive, slightly tangy taste.

Acacia (Phulai) and Robinia Honey

Acacia honey (phulai ka shehad) is light golden and mildly sweet, a popular everyday honey. Robinia honey comes from robinia (black locust) flowers. It is very light in colour, delicate in taste and stays liquid for longer.

Wild, Mountain Forest and Raw Honey

Wild honey (jungli shehad) and mountain forest honey are darker honeys with a rich, strong flavour. Raw honey is unprocessed honey that keeps its natural taste and texture.

Everyday Honey: Flora, Clover, Eucalyptus and Orange Blossom

Flora honey is a multi-floral honey and our most affordable choice. Clover honey (barseem) is mild and smooth, eucalyptus honey (safeda) has a bold, slightly herbal taste, and orange blossom honey has a gentle citrus aroma.

Flavoured Honey: Ajwain Honey and Nuts Honey

Ajwain honey comes from ajwain flowers and has a warm, spicy note, popular in winter. Nuts honey is pure honey mixed with dry fruits, a rich treat on its own or with breakfast.

Which Honey Should You Buy?

  • For everyday use and chai: Flora, Acacia or Clover Honey
  • For a morning spoon in warm water: Acacia, Robinia or Raw Honey
  • For a rich, strong taste: Sidr, Wild or Mountain Forest Honey
  • For winter: Ajwain Honey or Eucalyptus Honey
  • For gifting: Sidr Honey or Nuts Honey
  • For children over 1 year: mild honeys like Acacia, Clover or Orange Blossom

Why Does Honey Crystallise?

Many people think honey that turns thick or grainy has gone bad or is fake, but crystallisation is a natural process. Honey is mostly natural sugars, and over time, especially in cold weather, the glucose forms small crystals. Some honeys like clover and flora crystallise faster, while robinia and acacia stay liquid for longer. To make it smooth again, place the closed jar in warm (not boiling) water for a few minutes and stir.

How to Use Honey

  • Morning drink: mix a spoon in a glass of lukewarm water, with or without lemon.
  • Chai and green tea: use instead of sugar, added once the tea is slightly cooled.
  • Breakfast: drizzle over paratha, toast, oats, yoghurt or pancakes.
  • Cooking and baking: use in marinades, dressings, cakes and desserts.
  • With dry fruits: soak almonds or walnuts in honey for a winter snack.

Health Benefits of Honey

  • Natural energy: natural sugars give a quick energy boost.
  • Soothes the throat: a spoon of honey in warm water is a traditional remedy for a sore throat and cough.
  • Antioxidants: darker honeys like Sidr and wild honey contain natural antioxidants.
  • A better sweetener: honey can replace refined sugar in drinks and desserts.

Never give honey to babies under 1 year old. Honey is mostly sugar, so people with diabetes should use it only in small amounts and ask their doctor. Honey is a food, not a medicine.

How to Store Honey

Keep honey in a tightly closed glass jar at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Do not keep it in the fridge, as cold makes it crystallise faster. Always use a clean, dry spoon, because water can spoil honey. Stored properly, pure honey keeps for a very long time.
